Every AI-powered feature in Mavio — transcription, summaries, Mavio AI chat, diagram generation — consumes AI credits. The usage dashboard gives you full visibility into how your team consumes credits so you can optimize spending and avoid interruptions.

Viewing your usage

Navigate to Settings > Billing > AI Credits to see:
  • Credits used this billing period
  • Credits remaining until renewal
  • Usage breakdown by feature (transcription, summaries, AI chat, diagrams)
  • Daily usage chart showing consumption trends over 30 days
  • Projected depletion date based on your current consumption rate

Purchasing credit packs

Need more credits before your renewal? Purchase credit packs:

Open credit packs

Go to Settings > Billing > AI Credits > Buy More.

Choose a pack

Select from available packs. Credits are added immediately and do not expire until the end of your current billing period.

Confirm purchase

Review the charge and confirm. The purchase is billed to your payment method on file.

Setting up alerts

Get notified before you run out of credits:
  1. Go to Settings > Billing > AI Credits > Alerts.
  2. Set a threshold (e.g., notify at 80% used, or when fewer than 50 credits remain).
  3. Choose notification channels: in-app notification, email, or Slack (requires Slack integration).
  4. Alerts trigger once per threshold per billing cycle to avoid repeated notifications.

Team credit allocation

On Team and Enterprise plans, workspace admins can:
  • View per-member credit usage in Settings > Team > Usage
  • Set per-member monthly limits to prevent any one person from exhausting the shared pool
  • Receive email alerts when a member reaches their limit
  • Grant temporary credit boosts to specific members who need additional capacity

Allocation strategies

Team credit limits are soft limits. Admins can override them at any time by adjusting the allocation.

Understanding your usage patterns

AI features are paused until credits renew or you purchase a credit pack. Recordings still work — they will be transcribed and summarized once credits are available.
Credits do not roll over on Free, Pro, and Team plans. Enterprise plans can negotiate rollover terms.
Unused credit pack credits are refundable within 7 days of purchase. Contact support@mavioapp.com for refund requests.
Transcription charges 1 credit per 10 minutes of audio. Long meetings (60+ minutes) can consume significant credits. Consider using the meeting bot’s auto-stop feature to end recording when participants leave.
Disable auto-generated features you do not use. For example, turn off auto-generate diagrams in Settings > AI > Auto-generate diagrams, or disable auto-translation if you do not need multilingual summaries.
Export the usage history table as CSV from the Export button for use in spreadsheets or billing reports.
