Mavio separates a recording into speakers automatically. Putting names to them takes a few clicks, and those names carry forward as people rather than as voices.
This guide replaces “Set up speaker profiles”. There is no voice enrolment step any more — Mavio does not record a voice sample or build a voiceprint. Profiles are created by labelling. See Speaker Labels.

Before you start

Connect your calendar. It is the one thing that makes labelling fast: the people invited to the meeting appear as one-click choices, so you pick a name instead of typing an address.

Label a speaker

1

Open a meeting transcript

Any meeting with a transcript will do — live or finished.
2

Click a speaker label

Click “Speaker 1” (or whatever the cluster is called) on any line.
3

Pick the person

If the meeting came from a calendar event, the invited people are listed — click one. Otherwise type their email address; Mavio derives the display name from it.
Every line from that speaker is relabelled at once.

Reusing people across meetings

Profiles are matched on email address. Label sarah.chen@acme.com in one meeting and the next time you label that address, Mavio reuses the same person rather than creating a second one — so their meeting history stays in one place. Labels do not carry over automatically between meetings. Each recording is diarized on its own, so a new meeting starts with generic speaker clusters and you name them again. Connecting your calendar is what keeps that to a few clicks.

See someone’s history

Open People in the sidebar and click a person to see their details and every meeting they were part of, with how long they spoke in each.

Fixing mistakes

  • Wrong name — click the speaker label again and pick or type the right one.
  • Two profiles for one person — merge them from the People page; meeting links move onto the profile you keep.
  • Someone labelled by accident — delete the profile. The meetings stay; their speakers go back to being unlabelled.
